چکیده
A high-efficiency composite adsorbent was synthesized by mixing cellulose and graphene oxide (GO) in the lithium chloride/N,N-dimethyl-acetamide system. The cellulose/GO (D-RCGO) characterized scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, thermal gravimetric analysis. influences of various parameters on removal Ce(III), such as dosage, temperature, initial Ce(III) concentration, contact time, pH, were optimized using a range batch adsorption experiments. Adsorption kinetics displayed behavior according to Langmuir isotherm model pseudo-second-order model. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis showed that two peaks Ce-3d almost disappeared after desorption NaCl solution, which indicated belonged ion exchange mechanism. Furthermore, theoretical maximum capacity onto D-RCGO 225.8 mg·g-1. This work suggested membranes could serve an effective eco-friendly for rare earth pollutant wastewater treatment.

Studies on Adsorption of Some Organic Dyes from Aqueous Solution onto Graphene Nanosheets
Graphene, a new member of the carbon family, was used as an adsorbent due to its exceptional capability to remove Rhodamine B (RB) and Malachite Green (MG), two organic dyes, from aqueous solutions. Adsorption kinetics of RB and MG onto graphene and adsorption capacity of the adsorbent were studied. Also the effects of parameters, including pH, contact time, temperature, and adsorbent dosag...
متن کاملAdsorption of Lead from Aqueous Solution by Modified Beech Sawdust
Sawdust is now being investigated as an adsorbent to remove contaminants from aqueous solution. Heavy metals can be decreased very effectively with the organic material. In this research, adsorption of Pb (II) onto modified beech sawdust in a batch system was investigated. Sawdust was collected from timber mill of Qom, Iran, and modified with H2SO4 and NaOH. Then, the effe...

متن کاملGraphene oxide adsorption enhanced by in situ reduction with sodium hydrosulfite to remove acridine orange from aqueous solution.
Graphene oxide (GO) is a highly effective adsorbent, and its absorbing capability is further enhanced through its in situ reduction with sodium hydrosulfite as the reductant. Acridine orange is the selected target to eliminate with GO as the adsorbent. Under identical conditions, GO without the in situ reduction showed a maximum adsorption capacity of 1.4 g g(-1), and GO with the in situ reduct...
